Delta teen chosen out of 1600 for Air Force Academy (KJCT 8 Grand Junction)

9,000 people applied to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs this year. Only 1600 were chosen. 17 year old Phaelen French, a recent graduate of Delta High School was one of only two people accepted from the Western Slope. She has wanted to be a cadet since she was ten years old.
